It’s wedding season!

25 Mar

Its that time of year when people are getting married.

If you are lookin for some ideas of how to do your hair for the wedding wether you are the bride, in the wedding party, or just the guest, you wanna be lookin your best  ;) look no further these are a few of my favorite go to wedding hair do’s…..

First I LOVE the loose side chignon, very elegant and simple

And might I add it is how I did my hair for my wedding…

Then you can add some flair by working curls into it….

Or even a braid

Next a similar variation but a side pony…you know that some girls totally grow their hair out for the wedding, why not show off some length in a elegant off the neck way

Lastly the soft loose curls

I love the volume and body they create and it can be dressed up with a clip, comb or birdcage veil to make it more formal.

The thing that realy separates everyday hair and wedding hair is what you are wearing and how you accessorize your hair.

Forever 21 can be a fun place to find hair accessories and they are crazy cheap…here are a few that I like…

Believe me there are many more, and depending on wedding colors you can incorporate a color into your hairpiece, or your wedding partys hair.

Even your local craft store can be helpful…even if you are not crafty they usually have a wedding isle that has some pre made hairpieces.

You could even attach a clip to a cool old broach….seriously its easy so many options of fun.

Have no fear of the wedding season you can work it!

Spring confessions

25 Mar

It’s been a while….. And its confession time…….I totally have failed the hair sprucing challenge, but I’m re-committing myself to working it for the rest of the month.
Spring is a lovely time of year, it makes me get this urge to try harder to be better, work harder. As the weather gets warmer and the flowers begin blooming I get excited. It makes me feel crafty and creative.
Let’s all start a new in our quest to find our beauty within by taking care of our selves.
Let the spring in the air do its thing!

braid n band

Here is a Braid n Band look I’m rockin’

The braid is a quick and easy fixx for the days you don’t wanna do your hair…and the band-headband is a great cover for dirty need to wash hair!

So I have been experimenting with my own nails as I have challenged you to do…here are a few of the  most recent…

This first one I did with the handy help of these babies…They help make the guide and give clean crisp lines

You just have to wait in-between colors for them to dry…..I recommend watching a fun movie to help pass the time while you paint -n- wait ;)

This next one I saw on pinterest and had to try it..this took tons of time and a bit of tape.

I used masking tape to create the “V” shape, but you can also use these…they are already cut short to a good nail friendly size ;)

This last one is pretty easy…paint nails color of your choice, then let dry then with the second color do 3 sweeps starting from long to shorter to shortest.

Then repeat making sure to leave some space between color #2 then dry & enjoy!

More pics of March hair sprucing….

This is a tie bow I made from one of Jude’s old ties, and then attached to a headband.

Sorry for the crappy phone pics…

This challenge has inspired me to get creative and have fun with my hair……I have decided to take it to the next level and try wearing bright springish colors.

Stay tuned for some o l updates ;)
